Session 1)

Free-form tight rolls: Each participant will have an opportunity to form tapers and use a pipe threader as a means to “power twist” forming, in one 40 in. heat.

Session 2)

Pulling the coils with machinery: The forklift will stretch the formed coils into "material dictated" organic spiral forms to be combined into an artistic assembly.

Letting the steel decide what it wants to be.

Saturday

Session 3)

Forming without a hammering: Utilizing only long heats, inertia, gravity and leverage to shape the metal; a demonstration of free-forming metal elements.

Creating collectively a gate, grille, or sculpture with the participants' collaborative free-formed pieces.

Johnathan Lambert
