The goal of this years Blacksmith Contest is to add to the beauty of the A.C. Dysart Park. This area has over 30 panels of rod iron fencing that can be decorated. This year’s blacksmith contest will contribute to the beauty of the grounds for generations. The contest art work will be displayed in a 15 foot rod iron panels that are about five feet high, with half inch square tubing running vertical with in the panel. Our goal is to add a center art piece into the center of these panels. Blacksmiths come and take part in the “Beautification of Banning” and continue the art of the Blacksmithing tradition.

Prizes are based on the amount of entries which will include a 70/30 split. The 70/30 split will means 70 percent of the prize money will go towards the winners and 30 percent will go towards the expenses of the contest and bounce prices.
